Neoquest 2 - Haunted Woods

So after you defeat the faeries go and talk to Balthazar and he'll tell you that it's not him who casted the spell, he'll tell you to go to Nox's Fortress. So go northwest and follow the path around the lake and through the Mountains of Terror. Treasure Hunters and Lupe Specters await you, and some new monsters as well.

     Nox Guardian

Health: 240
Items: Faerie's Gift Potion, Constitution Potion
S.S: Wall of Chaos (dmg shield)

After a while you should see a tall tower in grey, Hubrid Nox's Fortress. The 1st level is where Nox Guardians and Haunted Guardians roam.

 Haunted Guardian

Health: 235
Items: Stamina Potion, Faerie's Gift Potion
S.S:

Just go straight forward from the entrance then right a bit then up till you see a staircase to level 2 in the room on your left.

The 2nd level is where Hearts of Nox appear, Nox Guardians and Haunted Guardians are there too.

      Heart of Nox

Health: 240
Items: Constitution Potion, Stamina Potion
S.S: (focus energy)

Go up then right from the staircase and go all the way down till the next staricase to level 3 can be seen on your left.

The 3rd level has Eyes of Nox roaming about. Nox Guardians and Hearts of Nox too.

      Eye of Nox

Health: 245
Items: Faerie's Gift Potion
S.S: Protection of Infinity (magic resist. & melee def. up for group)

Go up from the staircase, go left then follow the path up and right, you should see a staircase to level 4 at the end of the path.

Level 4 has Nox Guardians and Hearts of Nox and Eyes of Nox. Go down from the staircase then turn left at the first turn. Go all the way left till you see some pillars, then go down a little and left again, a staircase to level 5 should be seen.

Level 5 has Nox Guardians, Hearts of Nox and Eyes of Nox. Go up from the staircase and follow the path all the way up till you reach the next staricase to level 6.

Level 6 has Nox Guardians, Eyes of Nox, Hearts of Nox and Hands of Nox.

     Hand of Nox

Health: 245
Items: Constitution Potion, Fyora's Blessing Potion
S.S: Obliterate (high damage)

All you have to do is follow the winding path to the staircase to level 7. Level 7 has Hands of Nox only. Follow the path available then go downwards beside the pillars and turn left, there will be a staircase to level 8.

Level 8 has Eyes of Nox and Hands of Nox. Go up from the staircase and follow the path right then go down and you will see the staircase to level 9. (how tall IS this tower?!)

At level 9 I'm not sure if you can find any monster. But go up from the staircase and go left at the second turn, go on and on and soon you'll see the person you're looking for, Hubrid Nox!

Me vant to suck your blood!

Hubrid Nox narrows his eyes when he sees you. His mouth twists into a snarl, and he attacks!

Health: 1500
S.S: Rampant Acceleration (haste), Petrification (slows), (critical attacks), (slowing attacks), Renew (heal)

Now lemme tell you this, Hubrid Nox is one of the most IRRITATING and POWERFUL boss, okay? His Renew, Rampant Acceleration and Petrfification spells are the most irritating, especially his Renew spell. Why, I've been through 30 minutes damaging him till his health was only 200+, AND THE STUPID RENEW SPELL CAUSED ME TO START AGAIN FROM 500 HEALTH!!!!! Getting 500 health is not easy you know!!!! I spent a whole 2 hours fighting him, and then I died...now I have to start again from the Haunted House all the way to the fortress and GOING UP THE FORTRESS TO THIS SICKENING VAMPIRE!! My head is on flames, gimme time before I defeat him, now I really have to put to Hunting Mode all the way up the fortress.

After much careful planning and lots of time used up I finally managed to defeat Hubrid Nox!!! He did not use much Renew spell this time. I trained my party till level 51, upgrading defensive and supportive spells such as Haste, Damage Shields and Slowing Spells only. Cast all your defensive and supportive spells first, then attack him continuosly. Whenever a spell runs out, cast it again. Use your best attacks. Not long after you should be able to defeat him.

Hubrid Nox is forced to one knee by the final strike. He struggles for a moment, then stands up, unsteady. His expression has changed, now, and he lowers his hands, no longer intent on attacking.

You found 5 Stamina Potions!
You found 1 immovable wand!
You found 1 radiant holy chain!

You gain 1,000 neopoints!

After that talk to him.

Hubrid Nox says, "Ah! Released from the spell. When I find that horrible witch, she's going to be on the receiving end of my wrath, for I am Hubrid Nox!"
> Say, "Which witch?"

Hubrid Nox says, "Which witch? Which witch? If you can believe it, it was Edna the Witch! And she managed to enthrall me, Hubrid Nox, master of evil! Oh, I'll never live this down... and I had to work alongside that filthy cur, Balthazar, not to mention Spider Grundo, that mutant scum. But unlike them, I remained aware throughout of what I was doing."
> Say, "Why did Edna make you cast a spell for her?"

Hubrid Nox says, "We did not cast a spell for her--she merely used us as energy conduits to cast her own spell. But why she would make the sun stay up is completely beyond even my superior intellect; it must be madness! Madness, I tell you! And not the good kind, that results in world domination or the deaths of innocents. No, this is the kind of random, aimless madness that wastes talents like Edna's. Nonetheless, when I find her, she will pay for her treachery!"
> Say, "Where could we find Edna?"

Hubrid Nox says, "So, you wish to do my dirty work for me, eh? So be it! You may punish Edna on my behalf. Mwa ha ha ha ha! She'll never see it coming. Edna lives in the Witch's Tower, across the Goo Bog. To reach it, follow the path south out of the mountains. The tower is at the eastern end of the Bog. I'd wish you luck, but I have to practice my maniacal laughter. Mwa ha ha ha! MWA HA HA HA HA!!" He pauses. "What are you still doing here? Get out! Use the teleporter so you aren't tramping mud all the way back down the tower, like you did on your way up."

Hmmph, what maniacal rude words! I can do that too! MWA HA HA HA HA! See? Let's get out of this tower anyway, too bad we had to fight Edna, she's a ZAFARA! But I love Neoquest and I WANT to complete it no matter what!

Now follow the path south through the mountains, Hearts of Nox and Nox Guardians will still be there, but not when you're out of the mountains. Goo Bog is where you see the ponds of brown muck near Haunted Woods are. There will be Sentient Fungi, Malevolent Fungi and Slime Behemoths.

Sentient Fungus                   Slime Behemoth                  Malevolent Fungus

Health: 250                             Health: 250                         Health: 255
Items:
S.S:                                       S.S: Rampant Acceleration   S.S: Petrification (slows)
                                                    (haste)

If you go further eastwards, you'll soon see the ESOPHAGOR, he's a real huge lump-of-rock-in-the-ground! He'll attack you if you come any closer.

RRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!!!!

The Esophagor moans as you approach, "Yyyooouuu ssshhhooulllddd nnottt hhaavveee ccoommeee heeerre...... pprreeeppaarree ttooo ddiiiiiiiieeeeeee!"

Health: 2000
S.S: Rampant Acceleration (haste), (stunning attacks)

The Esophagor is easier than Hubrid Nox, although he might look stronger. He doesn't heal, that's what makes it easier.

You found 1 wondrous greatsword!
You found 1 moonflight tunic!
You found 1 ornamented plate!

You gain 1,500 neopoints!

After you've defeated him there will be the next cutscene video, so that will be the end of Haunted Woods! The next stage will be Faerieland! I hope the journey will be much easier.

Neoquest 2 Guide is BACK AGAIN!!!

Sorry guys! Neoquest 2 guide is finally back on. So where were we....oh yeah, at Zakharukh's Pyramid, that's right! So...the maze is finally solved...

First you start at the entrance, then you go north-west then west all through until you come to a great hall with stone pillars. Go down, then east. There you will meet another maze, a harder one. All you need to do is find your way west where there is a tiny opening. Go in then go down till dead end then go west until the end. Finally you go up and north-east, there you will find a staircase leading to Level 2. Of course, along the way through the maze you'll get enemies too. There's also a Grundoceros, but I can't get the picture cause I can't find it anymore. Sorry bout that. But I remember I've put it up somewhere....maybe the last few guides?

   Undead Warrior            Undead Paladin

Health: 200                     Health: 205
Items: ?                         Items: Vitality Potion
S.S: ?                            S.S: Mitigation (heal)

Level 2 is easier, it's just some large stone circles. Firstly you go down then west till you see an opening at the top. Then you go either east or west then up till you see an opening goin in. Then you can choose to go up or down till you see another opening going into the small circle then there will be another staircase to Level 3. Enemies await you too duh.

    Undead Paladin

(you know the stats)

Level 3 is where the boss awaits. There will be no maze or anything confusing except a room filled with stone pillars and ANUBITS, he'll be the boss you're gonna face. He's a gigantic Anubis which filled up 6 squares, carrying a stick. Anyway here's how he looks like:

Pretty eerie eyes huh?

Anubits grins evilly at you as you approach. "You think to reach the Altar of Destiny? You will have to get past me first!" he shouts.

Health: 1000
Items: Thundering Longsword, Light Moon Plate, Steady Wand, 1200 nps
S.S: Rampant Acceleration (haste), Protection of Infinity (magic resistance & melee defence), Petrification

You may think he's strong and scary looking just because he's huge and has a great health, but trust me, he's silly and easy. That's cause he keeps using his Special Skills (S.S) instead of attacking more often. Believe me he's only wounded me 3 times! Sounds silly huh? Anyway once you've defeated him, you'll get the next cutscene video to the next area, Haunted Woods. So, that will be the end of Lost Desert!

Neoquest 2 Guide

Now you have to find the Gemstone, it's quite easy--really. Examine the Medallion and you'll see the spot marked 'x' that's the Gemstone and the objects around it are cliffs. Just get out of the city, head up to the centre of the desert and you'll see some rocks. Follow what the Medallion reads...

The Gemstone is by the left of a lonely cliff as you can see. Just walk up to that very spot, three steps to the left from the lonely cliff. Then you'll find it, it's buried in the sand, inside a wooden box. Take it and it will reveal Zakharukh's Pyramid.

So off you go back to Waset Village then pass the Ruined Temple and head west-wards of the river. Keep going south-west till you see a small pyramid and enter it.

The pyramid is like a maze, don't get yourself lost. In there you'll encounter enemies too:

       Enourmous Grundocerous           Undead Warrior

Health: 200                                      Health: 200
Items: Stamina Potion                       Items: Stamina Potion

Ugh, the maze in the pyramid is a real brain-squishing puzzle! I got lost somewhere now, let's try to find my way again. Now, I SUPPOSE there will be a staircase somewhere, but it is not guaranteed. Anyone who knows the way outta here please help before I get stuck for life! Before I find my way out it'll take me quite a long time, gimme a few days or even weeks. I'll write it down as soon as possible.

Neoquest 2 Guide

I'm back on the track again! Thanks for everyone's help! I finally found the Medallion of Wind and went off to Akhten-Ka. The monsters there are:

Undead Citizen          Decrepit Mummy           Desert Protector      Undead Shopkeeper

Health: 190                 (you know the stats)         Health: 195             Health: 200
Items:                                                              Items:                    Items: Stamina Potion,
                                                                                                     Vitality Potion

    Desert Patrolman

Health: 200
Items: Vitality Potion, Stamina Potion
Special Skills: Wall of Force

So you just continue upwards till you meet a road to the left. Follow the road then go up once you see a building, it is the palace where your boss will be. After you get in just go up then turn left at the first bend (not where the trees are). After that you head up and voila, you'll see the ghost-looking lupe.

         Coltzan's Ghost

Coltzan's ghost looks at you sadly. "It is not my will--but you must die!" He attacks!

Health: 750
Special Skills: Rampant Acceleration, Renew

Coltzan's ghost withdraws from the fight, then suddenly he becomes more solid, more real... but still a spirit. "Thank you for releasing me from that evil grip," he says. "Come, we have much to talk about."

Rohane gained 833 experience points!

Mipsy gained 833 experience points!

Talinia gained 833 experience points!

You found 2 Potions of Greater Health!
You found 1 oakstorm tunic!
You found 1 staff of sacrifice!

You gain 800 neopoints!

After that you talk to him and he'll tell you about the third piece of the Medallion behind him, he'll also tell you about the Altar or something. Take the Medallion and examine it, then go out and find the Gemstone.

Neoquest 2 guide

Welcome back to my Guide to Neoquest 2! Today I will continue from Waset to the ruined city of Akhten-Ka in the Lost Desert, stage 3.

So I stopped at Waset that time, you've talked around there have you? So you know that you have to look for Lifira, Hasise's and Hizaga's daughter. Lifira is a red uni, she's a magician. So after doing all you wanna do at Waset, off you go to the Valley of Kings, which is located near the cliffs. You can find it very very easily. So in you go and the monsters are already explained that time. So you go west and follow the cliffs south then turn in west and you'll find the Palace of Ancient Kings. It's a really really huge place I told you, you may get lost in the centre of it. So you just travel up and up and you'll see some water, even if they're like a maze to you, keep going up and up. Then you'll reach some grassland, head west and then go into the north opening into the Palace again. Then you go up and then east, you should find some monsters. And they'll be a special monster called the Dynastic Priest. It'll be waiting for you somewhere around there, I don't know. But if you defeat it you'll get a Journal Page. Read it. You'll get some clues to where you're supposed to go. It says that there'a a secret staircase leading to the basement under one of the beds. I don't know how should I tell you where the bed is, so you can check on them one by one, all you need to do is just try to step on them, if you succeed in finding it, you'll automatically go down the stairs into the basement.

There really is a lot of crates and barrels, it's a like a maze. But don't worry it's an easy maze. You should go north to the opening. There are monsters too, just keep going up and up and you'll see a giant ghost-like kougra, he's the boss you'll be fighting. His name is Revenant, and he has 2 possessed skeletons with him. Defeat him, then go to the room on the right. You'll see Lifira. Talk to her and she'll tell you many things about the people in Waset fussing about her getting captured. She says she could take care of herself, she has powerful magic. After talking she'll dissapear to Waset. You go to the left room and to the Teleporter Sphere. You'll find yourself outside the Palace of Ancient Kings, head back to Waset and talk to Lifira again at Hasise's and Hizaga's tent. She'll tell you that she is a program in the computer, her real name is LFRA, I forgot what it stands for. Then she'll tell you to go northwest to find the old techo hermit by the oasis. Just follow what she says.

The oasis is a really really small place in the middle of the desert and it is quite hard to find. But once you found it you'll see a blue techo dressed in brown cloak beside the oasis. Talk to him and tell him the code that Lifira gave you. He'll tell you how to get the other pieces of the Medallion of Wind.

So then you head north and then follow the cliffs east to the end. Then go south, down and down you go till dead end then turn west and talk to Bledynn the Skeith. He'll tell you about the Akhten-Ka, then you go on west then go north and you'll find the ruined city of Akhten-Ka.

Now the trouble is, how do you get in? I don't know yet, now I'm still searching around the walls in search for the entrance. Man, what kind of place is this??? No entrance?!?!?! Well I'll be searching, I'll tell you if I've found it or maybe you'll have to do something to go in...

Valley of Kings

The journey from Waset to the Valley of Kings isn't long, and it's easy to find the gap to the valley, just follow the cliffs from Waset to the west, after a while you should see a gap in. In there you'll find:

Desert Khonsu       Mutated Wadjet-Grundo       Desert Guardian         Ghastly Templar

Health: 170                 Health: 175                        Health: 180                Health: 175
Special Moves:            Special Moves: Critical        Items: ?                    Items: ?
Cleanse                      Hits
Items: ?                     Items: Potion of Abundant
                                 Health

Wadjet-Grundo???? O.o What's that? Anyway, just go to the left till dead end and travel down by following the cliffs, it should be easier to find the town. After some time you'll go into a space to the left and you'll the Palace of Ancient Kings. It's a damn huge place, you might even get lost. In there you'll find Desert Guardians and Ghastly Templars. Alright I'll stop here for today, I'm really really tired of typing and thinking while playing. I'm sorry, but I really need a break. I'll continue tomorrow IF possible. Bai Bai!

Yo!

Hi again! As you can guess, I'll be doing the Neoquest 2 Guide in Stage 3, so where were we that time? Oh, yeah. We're in the Temple of the Sky. So you go on walking while training, now you just walk northwards and you can see a pond there. Then from the pond you head west, there'll be a path you can go through. And you just continue west till dead end and you go north to the room where there is lots of crates and barrels, around the corner there should  be a staircase leading up. At level 2, there are Decaying Mummies, Sand Walkers and Mutant Sand Grundos. They fight in groups most often, and can be real frustrating. Then you go down, right, uhh....was it up? Then right, down down down, right, down, then you should go through a tiny path to the left, well it's confusing but sorry if I made any mistakes, I just couldn't remember! So you go left, left, left, up, up, up. Then you should see a huge Skeith made out of brown rocks and boulders. He is Siliclast, fight him. He's a boss. He has about 400 health points, and if you win you'll get 600++ experience points, 600 nps, the Celestial Talisman, 5 Potions of Potent Health, Valorous Steel Splint and Energetic Acolyte's Robe. Then you head up to the Teleporter Sphere. You should be back in Sakhmet Palace.

Then you talk to the people there, they'll give you clues to your next mission. Your next mission is to go north to the oasis and to the Temple. On your way there'll be:

       Desert Nomad            Rattlecobrall                 Sand Walker

Health: 155                       Health: 155                   Health: 160
Items: Potion of Potent      Items: Potion of           Items: Potion of Health                              Growth                        Greater Health,
                                                                          Potion of Potent
                                                                          Health

It isn't a long way to the Ruined Temple, it's like a moss, surrounded by hills. In level 1 you'll find Decaying Mummies, you know the stats and their looks, I don't need to put it up.

In level 2 you'll find:

Rock Golem              Mutant Sand Grundo     Decaying Mummy

Health: 165                   Health: 165               (you know the stats)
Items: Potion of Potent  Items: Potion of
Health                          Potent Health

I'm about level 33 when I reached here, it's not much of a problem for me facing these guys but unfortunately, these monsters can attack you in groups of FOUR. Sounds insane huh? But it's a good training, really.

In level 3 you'll find:

Zombie Techo             Rock Golem             Mutant Sand Grundo

Health: 170               (you know the stats)       (you know the stats)
Items: Potion of
Abundant Health

In level 4, you'll find the same monsters as level 3. But there's one extra monster you'll have to fight and that is the boss. Can you guess who he is? He is Pharaoh Gebarn II the ancient undead pharaoh!

Health: 350
Special Moves: Contagion, Hibernation
Items: the Medallion of Wind (upper part), Channeling Acolyte's Robe, Barkhide Tunic, 700 nps

After you defeated him, Gebarn roars in anguish. "You don't know what you've done!" he gasps. "The Medallion must not be... it must not be reunited!" Suddenly, powerful blasts of energy emit from his body in all directions, shaking the ruined temple and raining debris everywhere. You dive for cover, and Gebarn's body explodes in a tremendous conflagration. The ground shakes, like a great earthquake. After a minute, though, it ends, and the room is silent. Lying on the floor where Gebarn stood, you now see a piece of bronze metal, glinting in the fading light.

It appears that the Medallion of Wind has been broken! You have found what appears to be the upper part of the Medallion. It has some kind of markings on it, but it's difficult to tell what they are.

So you see, you only get the upper half part of the Medallion, weird eh? Well then I think this is getting more interesting...*grins*

So after that you go into the Teleporter Sphere and you'll be back in Sakhmet Palace again. Talk around and get more clues to your 3rd mission. Then you should know what to do and go do it. Head off north once again, you'll have the same monsters on the way there.

When you reached there, the cliffs that are blocking the path have really shifted! They don't shift much though, not as much as I expected, just 2 paths are now opened on both sides of the Ruined Temple. At the other side you will see some tents, this place is the Waset Village. Go into the tents one by one and you'll know what to do next, Lifira, Hizaga's and Zasise's daughter, has been kidnapped.

Neoquest 2 again!!!!

Aww I'm sorry guys, I can't go on with the guide as I've reached the 3rd stage in Neoquest 2. I won't write for stage 2 or continue with stage 1 again, sorry. Well I was too excited in it I just couldn't stop playing it, but unfortunately, my computer has had its internet busted and I couldn't go internet for days, that's why the blog is never updated for....2 days? Anyway, I'll get on with the guide to Neoquest 2 on stage 3, sorry, one more time, sorry.

Stage 3 is the Lost Desert. Imagine that stage 2 is Terror Mountain and stage 3 is Lost Desert. The sudden temperature change will lead you to unconciousness, but isn't it great for spa? Oh well *ehem*, so now I'm still in the early stages in stage 3. Once you finish with stage 2, you'll be transported to stage 3 with a video. You'll be in Sakhmet City, talk around to get clues. After you've finished talking, go west towards the exit. You'll see tents pitched around the sand, just go in one by one, you can talk and buy weapons and potions and there's an inn there too for you to rest, it costs 350 gp a night. After that, head off east as what the people in Sakhmet Palace said, and remember go a little north. On your way to the Temple of the Sky, there's monsters too of course, and they're really strong, I'm only level 27 when I reached there, and had quite a hard time fighting them. There's Sand Walkers and Desert Nomads. Sorry I just don't wish to put on their pictures.

And then further off northeast you'll reach the Temple of the Sky. It's easy to spot with the surrounding yellow sand and bare grounds. Go in(duh). And there'll be monsters waiting for you as well. (okay, I'll put on their pictures now)

      Sand Walker            Decaying Mummy

Health: 160                    Health: 165
Items: Potion of             Items: Potion of Greater Health,
Greater Health               Potion of Abundant Health

There you go, well they're so far as I know lurking in the Temple but if you spot any other monsters please tell me through the chat box. Okay???

Figured it!!!

Alright, I've just figured out how to get into the Lost City of Phorofor (now I remember the name). Firstly, you need to talk to Nikalo, the old Draik sage, which can be found in Lakeside Town. You ask him where do you find this old hermit, he will tell you to go northwest. Now, do NOT go out of the town, this is a tricky part. You just travel northwest IN the town, you will find lots and lots of trees growing around. Now you go behind the building where Nikalo is and there will be a small path that you can go through, then you head off west, many trees will be blocking your way but there will be a tiny path which you can walk through. When you come to a dead end, there will be a path heading south, go there, and you will find an old Kyrii. Well he is the hermit that you asked Nikalo for, so you have now found him! His name is Potraddo, and he looks like this:

The old hermit that everyone's been talking about...

He will tell you how to go into Phorofor, he mentions a strange language saying 'ad ro un ta en'. I don't know what to do with it yet but I copied it down before I head off to Phorofor, who knows it will come in useful! He says that those words were to be said to the Withered Ghost in Phorofor. You will find the ghost easily, it is a cybunny, and it stands at the very first map of Phorofor, so if you can't find it, I really must say that you're eye degree is 1000. Just kidding!

Trackless Wastes

Here, you can find the Lost City of Phorofor. I suppose there will be a boss waiting for you inside, so I've set my mode to Hunting Mode to train myself. You can find a few monsters to battle with:

Hulking Mummy            Dust Scarab             Giant Sand Spider

Health: 70                      Health: 65                   Health: 60
Items: Healing Flask,      Items: Healing Potion,   Items: Healing Flask,
Healing Bottle                 Healing Bottle              Healing Potion, Healing Bottle

And please be warned that these monsters can attack you in groups of 2 or 3. So train your Mipsy's Group Damage.

Lost City of Phorofor

Once you get into the city, talk to the withered ghost. Say the keyword (so you don't need to copy it afterall) and the ghost will open a path behind it and dissapear.

In the city, there'll be monsters too:

Dust Guardian             Dust Merchant             Hulking Mummy

Health: 75                      Health: 75                  (You know the stats)
Items: Healing Bottle      Items: Healing Bottle

Just wander around for a bit of training cause this place is a very good training ground and a boss will be waiting for you at the last building to the southeast too. So make sure you train hard to defeat him. And also, the monsters here can team you up too, in groups of 2 or 3.

Now the boss is a Giant Sand Grundo:

Looks tough huh? But actually he's easy to beat.

Health: 130
Items: Bright Steel Shortsword, 300 neopoints
Special Skills: Critical Hits

So that's all for now, I'm tired of typing already. I'll tell you more next time.
